月と、その略
- 略すときは、略語であることのマーク「. (ピリオド)」を末尾につける。
ピリオドは省かれることも多い。

- ※ Mayのみ最初から3文字で略されていないため、ピリオドはつけない。
- 論文などフォーマルな文書の場合は、略し方が決められている。
MLA (Modern Language Association) という形式では、9月はSept.を使用し、May, June, Julyは短縮しない。

- 略1が一般的。
略2は表示するスペースが限られるときに使うことが多い。スペース節約のため、末尾のピリオドもつけない場合が多い。(コンパクトなカレンダーや、時計のデジタル表示などでよく使われる) - 週の始まりは日曜からか、月曜からかの決まりはないので、好きな方を使って問題ない。国際標準(ISO 8601)では、月曜を最初の曜日に使っている。
週のいつ頃かを表す表現
- 「いつ頃の」という特定を表すため、The をつける。

- ｢今週の～｣と指定する場合は、 ”the week” を ”this week” にする。

- the + 序数 + 週 で表す。
